Greetings Club Members, We are deep into racing season now, with several local races to choose from each weekend and many marathons happening across the state. I survived the Disney Marathon’s Goofy Challenge, despite the “wintery precipitation” on Saturday and record cold on Sunday. It was fun but I’m not anxious to do it again any time soon. At the January board meeting, Mike Melton, who has been instrumental to the success of the Sailfish Striders for over twenty years, announced his resignation. We will miss his wise counsel and dedication to the club. He will remain active in race organizing, as he has just launched a new chip timing business. We wish him success. Directors Needed! The Board of Directors of the Sailfish Striders seeks nominations for two open positions on the Board. Board members meet monthly, in the evening. Members will be elected at the annual meeting for a two-year term.
